In order to meet the needs of our diverse congregation and population, the church has established a number of special ministries.

Children's Ministry

Led by Albert and Hope Ramsay, this ministry caters to children who are nine years old or younger. It is never too early to start a child's spritual training and the childrens' church programme aims to give these youngsters a solid biblical base.

Pre-Teens

This ministry is aimed at children between the ages of 10 and 12. The church remains cognisant of the specific needs of children who are approaching their teenage years. They are past the traditional Sunday school phase and yet not at a stage where they will fully benefit from hearing the messages which are preached to our adult congregations.

Marrieds' Ministry

In response to the growing need for spiritual instruction to aid married couples and parents, workshops are held every six week. The advice given in these workshops is bible based and accompanied by practical instructions.

Chemical Recovery Ministry

In August of 1997, Damian and Karlene Jean-Baptiste asked Paul and Dale Williams, the leaders of the Spanish Town Region, to begin a special ministry for disciples and people who were studying the bible who had problems with drug and alcohol addiction.

The result was the Chemical Recovery (CR) Programme, which is designed to help disciples recover physically, emotionally and spiritually from substance addiction.

The programme is conducted with the assistance of Mike and Brenda Leatherwood who lead the parent programme in the New York Church. The programme in New York has had incredible success and has helped hundreds of people recover from substance abuse problems and drug and alcohol addiction.

Since its inception, almost 25 persons have graduated locally, most of whom have been appointed bible talk leaders, sector leaders, CR Region Co-ordinators and full time members of staff. This powerful ministry is now led by Peter and Joy Crawford.
